DESCRIPTION
White Horse of Uffington
This ancient image of a horse was created perhaps 3000 years ago on a hillside in Wiltshire England. Trenches were cut then filled with chalk to form the image. Because of it's location near Dragon Hill some are associating it with the legend of St. George. While most connect it with the Celtic Horse Goddess known as Epona and Rhjannon. With it's ancient date back to the Bronze Age we may not know for sure but instead should ask what it calls forth within each of us.
