Dolphin's Voice

Today I went out sailing and met some new Dolphins friends. I have shared stories earlier about how they miraculously rescued me in dense fog and led me straight to the boat dock. But I haven't shared the whole story of my encounters with them. I haven't shared why I see everything on earth different because of a Dolphin. I haven't shared how I came to see all of this as God's Wonderful Green Earth. How a caring Dolphin led me closer to God. Today I will share a little more.

There is a lady named Anna who talks with animals. Search for videos with the words 'Anna Panther Spirit' and you will find her. (Spirit is the Panther's name.) She says it all in a simple straight forward way with heart warming images you can watch. She mentions in a few of her videos that we can all communicate with animals as she does. This ability is within each of us. She says how to start this process. Since I am always with the birds and animals I decided to try. And I say; Yes, we can all do this. But this story goes much further than talking with animals. As I said ... a Dolphin led me closer to God. ... ?

Lets start by backing up and looking at how we view animals. Scientists have told us they are stupid and we are far superior as we have larger brains and they don't. Except that Dolphins have larger brains than we do? And they have a far larger Cerebral Cortex which is the part thought to contain Higher-level thinking, advanced information processing. Pause and think about that for a moment. There are other parts of the brain that we value more that are less developed in the Dolphin. These areas are not important to their Higher Level thought. I would suggest perhaps we have developed larger egos, larger reasoning skills that take us to amazing thought processes, but often further from the truth, further from each other, further from the natural world, and further from God. Why do I say such things? A very good question indeed.

I say such things because of my observations of man, and animals, and mostly because of a lengthy talk with one Dolphin. ... Say What? - OK, back up and go watch Ana's videos. - Yes we can talk to them. The problem is mankind has evolved away from having this connection. We find it very difficult to connect with the natural world and all those living in it. Every dog owner knows their dog knows far more than we do. There is no question about it. Dogs know when we are coming home early. They know when to trust someone and when to not. Dogs know when our feelings are hurt. When we are happy. When we think about food or going out. Our scientists surely can't argue it's because of a dog's brain size? I suggest every animal communicates without voice. It is the norm. We are the one's who have evolved to not listen. We have lost this connection.

But there is hope. Many a man has learned you don't doubt a 'Woman's Intuition.' If your gut says don't do that, DON'T! This is not our ego or reasoning skills, but our true self coming through, our higher connection. It comes when we find our place of peace. This is the same place where we feel and hear the animals, the plants, and yes, God as well. The place where we know we aren't separate from all of life.

So how do the Dolphins fit into this story? What do they have to do with God?

A few years back I was going through some of the twists and turns life often throws at us. I was feeling a little lost. At about the same time I discovered Anna's videos. She hears things only they would know with details later proven to be true. Having owned many dogs and cats in my life I learned they are far more awake than we think. After listening to her I said, I am out here every day, why not? So I tried. She says start simple. Thus I began talking and listening to the animals. Am I good at it? No. Not yet. It comes and goes. But on days when I am in the right place ... yes it works very well.

I have had Eagles show me images of their favorite fish, and one who really didn't like rodents. She hated Fur! She likes Fish. Rather curious. Her son told me his favorite thing was to watch sunsets. And he noticed I did too.

There was one day that changed many things for me. It changed my perspective on myself, on my view of the animals, and my connection with God. I was out in the Florida gulf sailing in my kayak. It is a calming and wonderful experience. One feels the wind and the waves. A place at Peace with God. On this day the Dolphins came over to get a closer look. I think they like the quiet boat. Perhaps they feel my peace. As we sailed through the water together I had one Dolphin come very close to me. She kept circling and slowed to come right past the kayak a foot away. She was looking up at me each pass like she was trying to connect. I decided to try and talk with her.

It started simple, like with the Eagles. But she kept talking, and it soon led to a 20 minute conversation. We talked about many things. A conversation much like you and I would have. Then she directed the conversation towards me. She said I seemed upset. She was concerned. I said I'm a little lost. Not sure what comes next. She asked if I knew what my purpose was. I said, not really, I was trying to figure that out. She immediately said "How can you not know what your purpose is?" She was kind, yet said it in a very direct way, like that was absurd. I told her very few, if any, humans know why we are here. She said that was just Sad. Everyone has a Purpose.

I asked her if she knew my purpose? Why I was here? She said Yes, she did. I asked if she would tell me. And her reply came with great wisdom in all ways. She replied "No, It wasn't her job to tell me my purpose." That I should "Go Ask God. It wasn't her place. That I should simply go ask God. He would tell me what my purpose was. Just go ask Him." she said.

I paused with her words.

A Dolphin was telling me to just go ask God about my purpose, why I was on earth. I had gone from simply asking an Eagle what they like to eat for dinner, to a long conversation with a very kind Dolphin talking to me of God. I paused to take in her words, her wisdom. It was a lot to take in and think about. - She swam off to leave me to ponder, and to later ask God. I thanked her for her great wisdom and visit. A sweet soul.

So Yes, as I look back many years later,
I am one who can say I am closer to God, because of a Dolphin. Because she stopped to talk. She reached out in care and kindness, and led the way.
"We Are All Part of God's Kingdom. We all have purpose."
