Even in our darkness We are ever guided. Even in our darkness.
It was after dark when I reached the shore. The reviews said it was a safe place to park right on the beach. I pulled in and quickly parked at the entrance and turned off the lights to not bother any other campers that may be there. As I turned off the motor and walked back to the camper I heard, "Wait, Back up just 20 feet." I stopped and thought. It was totally black. I can't see a thing. The camper seems level enough to me, I'm tired, what difference could it make? But I strive to follow when guided. Sometimes I find out why later. I always have Faith it is for a reason even if it is never revealed. So I get in and start up the truck again and back up exactly 20 feet, then shut it down for the night. As I walk around to the camper I can hear the nice sound of the waves splashing the shore. Even though it is black and I can't even see the waves a few feet away, the sound was wonderful. I knew I had finally reached the beach safely, and the sound of the waves would be soothing to sleep beside. I lay my head down knowing in the morning I would wake to see the sea right outside the window. Winter warmth had arrived. I slept sound. It was a nice needed rest after the several days journey south. Many months of shows every weekend were surely worth it but had simply worn me out. From here on out I could sit and rest awhile, and enjoy the warm beaches of the south. I slowly awaken. Say Thank You and Prayers and sit up to see the ocean view. Right outside my window I behold a giant cross. A beautiful perfect view of it. I look in amazement. My backing up 20 feet the night before in the total blackness had placed it exactly where it needed to be outside my window. It could not have been more perfect. Moments later the clouds split to shine the suns rays down into the ocean. A perfect display of His beauty. It was a confirmation of many things, in many ways. Yes, God is always looking out for us, guiding us even in the subtle things. The things that bring a smile to our face are just as important as the big things he lays before us. He asks us to step up when we are needed as well as enjoy what He has created. And He lets us know we are safe and well in His guidance. We are ever in His hands. We Pray our day is Blessed and we are ever in His hands. P.S. The seagulls flying by and sitting on the cross were a perfect addition. Enjoy nature every day is the message. His Creations. Be in harmony with all of life.
