Seven Fellow Travelers I met seven fellow travelers yesterday. They dropped by camp to say hello. Very sweet, loving, big hound dogs. They all ran up wagging their tails. As if to say "Hey we know you." They hung out all evening. They ran along the beaches and played in the water for awhile. When I started a camp fire they stopped by to watch the flames. We all enjoyed the company and the nice moment together as we watched the flicker of the fire and listened to the sound of the lake gently lapping on the shore. As twilight came they found places all around the truck. As if guarding. One was on each corner and a few scattered between. I laid down for the night knowing all was safe. God had sent protectors. I woke at first light and looked out the window. There they were sleeping outside my window. Like seven Archangels watching over, protecting, keeping bad spirits and night critters away. Or was I watching over them?
As sunlight arrived it was breakfast time. I made them up a warm bowl of kippers and vegetables. As we all know it would be uncharitable to not offer something to seven angels if they stopped by to visit and watch over for the night. Even if they were a band of gentle traveling hounds acting like angels.
