A Painted Bunting
While walking in the arid Texas desert once I came upon a small pond. As I walked around the edge looking at the dull muddy water and soft toned earth there he was. A bird not shy about expressing himself. What bold colors.
He was busy splashing away with bath time. And no, even with lots of washing, the colors don't run or fade.
What can one say about such a striking bird. Clearly these guys are the inspiration for tie dye shirts. An inspiration for us all to shine and be proud of our unique expression of life. Like this bird we are each a wonderful splash of color in the desert.
